Research and First ideas

"treat you like a princess"- tiara on top of head (something linking to a princess-representation)

"one in a million"- camera goes out and wider so loads more people walking around in frame behind them

"how could you forget what we had"- sewing her moving on whereas he is reminiscing about what they could've been

"I'm waiting waiting for nothing"- waiting alone for her (looking at watch ??)

"buy a house settle down do our thing"- walking towards for sale sign, walking in house with boxes, showing the dream family they have

Statement of Intent

 Statement of Intent

Product 1:

For my music video, I intend to present and represent relationships in the world and heartbreak. In my research into Sony, I found that it is a multinational conglomerate corporation, one of the world’s largest media conglomerates so my artist will be very famous already, reflecting this as they produce a lot of mainstream artists songs. The song that I picked is quite fast paced called “when did your heart go missing” by Rooney as my target audience is 16–21-year-olds and the quick pace will be appealing to them along with the range of different shot types and mise en scenes to help with the theme. Using intertextual references, I will make my music video very appealing to the target audience so they will want to watch it and link back to certain things that they feel especially at this age like a broken heart. Another theory that I will use is Andrew Goodwins linking the relationship of lyrics to visuals which I will use majorly. The star persona created is a "fun and friendly" type of person and the relationships will be sweet (representing an ideal teenage dream) . However, juxtaposing with their loneliness and broken hearts after they have broken up. the storyline will be followed easily. Similarly, to the iconic shows and films that people watched when they were younger, fitting with the music.  I’ll use a range of close-up shots and switch between to keep up with the fast pace and to also meet the demands of the record label.

Product 2:

My website will consist of many videos of the artist and different relationships the saudience will grow fond of as they demonstrate young love. A lot of artists get money from the physical merchandise that they brand and sell to their fans with a section on clothing or accessories with the artists name on it and adverting upcoming shows and tickets so the website has to be very appealing for the audience as that is getting in most of the revenue and paying them. However, it also has to fit the theme that I want of friends and happiness, linking the products together. I aim to make my website interactive and engaging using a soft naturalistic throughout. The website will have links of the music video and different behind the scenes videos and social media pages and music streaming platforms creating cross media convergence, as the demographic is young and will be advertised and sold to by following on social media like Instagram. Researching other artists websites they change a lot and have unique ideas to each.

How do you intend to link your media products to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the digitally convergent nature of your media production?

In order to demonstrate digital convergence I intend to link the streaming sites and social media for the artist so that the audience can keep up to date with the newest of their favourite artist. I will also use an interview with the artist and link It in my website giving the target audience a background on who he is and why this song is so special to him.
